You thought you knew; it had been handed down from those who went before you. You could not read the glyphs inscribed between the lines of human history, so you approach the grave - the ghost between the master and the slave.
You lifted prayer to gods who feasted on the energies of nightmare; and, when they came, you scrambled screaming from your temple cursing their names. Your soul they'd dare not save - the ghost between the master and the slave.
You saw it moving toward you, you tried to look away. You felt it inching closer. You thought you heard it saying, "You've seen the coldness of the light. You taste the hatred on the air. You've sensed this once before. You were too young it leave it there: You dragged it along, you tucked it away deep within the ghost that you became."
