Principle improvisations were performed and recorded at The White Hot Room (Muscle Shoals, AL) on November 15, 2015 by Cody Gaisser and Blake Edward Conley. Further editing, overdubs, and mixing were then performed and recorded at Studio Deaf Ears (Swansboro, NC) in January 2016 by Keith Rn Chandler. Additional edits and final overdubs were performed and recorded at Self Winding Studio (Nashville, TN) circa April 2016 by Cliff Gray. In May 2016, mixing and mastering were completed by Cliff and Keith (respectively); the cover art was handmade by Keith; and liner notes were compiled by Blake, Keith, and Cliff, with final revisions by Cody.
Key inspirations included Miles Davis, Doom Patrol, American Spirit cigarettes, and the various evangelical facilities of the great state of Alabama.

Cliff would like to thank his mom, Wanda, for being the very example of support. When he was young, somehow the sound of absurdly loud drumming was music to her ears late into the night. And today, she’ll still listen to the primal expression of sound found on this record, be it eternally foreign to her southern gospel trained ear, and again hear her son making beautiful music.
Drone Not Drones.
Jazz is not a crime.
